The association was formed in 1970, the centre is currently based in The Old Library Community Centre, 120 Highfield Road, Blackpool.
The Blackpool Chinese Community Association is widely known and established organisation within Blackpool. The association has built strong bridges with other major Chinese communities inside and outside of the UK.
In 2016, the association had succesfully pushed forward for the bridging of Blackpool and Sanya to become Sister Cities, allowing the further promotion of education, culture and tourism between these seaside towns.
The association provides classes in Chinese (Mandarin), as well as hosting large functions and events to celebrate cultural festivals.
Furthermore, the association is well integrated within the Blackpool community, with close ties to external support groups, such as the Lancashire Police.
